VISION OF THE SECONDARY LITERACY NETWORK (SLN)

The goal of the Secondary Literacy Network (SLN) at the University of Colorado Denver is to link literacy educators  to better meet the literacy needs of adolescents.  Educators participating in the SLN collaborate to build the knowledge and skills of teachers, which in turn enhances the literacy performance of all students.  By offering a wide array of activities such as action research, modules, coaching, "critical friends groups," and university courses taught by network faculty, SLN participants build a strong knowledge base and the skills to enhance student engagement& performance.
